Magnus the Red 3 is an acrylic paint from Games Workshops Warhammer Tone Pro range, developed for painting Warhammer 40,000, Warhammer Age of Sigmar and other miniatures. It is Tone 3 of 5 in the Magnus the Red colour family and serves as the midtone between the darker and lighter shades.

The rich burgundy and magenta shade works particularly well as a base colour for armour, clothing, robes and decorative details. By combining Magnus the Red 3 with the other tones in the range, you can easily build shadows and highlights without mixing your own colours. Games Workshop has also demonstrated Magnus the Red 3 as a basecoat in practical painting examples.

Tone Pro paints are designed for a variety of painting techniques, including basecoating, layering, highlighting, glazing and drybrushing. The paint comes in a 12ml pot.
