Corner connectors enable open Auer Euroboxes to be placed on top of one another or put over one another. The upper box must be placed on the lower box with the opening facing down.
These connectors are simply plugged in and hold the upper box in position. The upper box is not only used for covering like an ordinary lid. It also increases the capacity / storage space.
