Magnus the Red 1 is an acrylic paint from Games Workshop's Warhammer Tone Pro range, developed for painting Warhammer miniatures. It belongs to the Magnus the Red colour family, with five different tones designed to work together and provide an easy progression from shadows to highlights.

Magnus the Red 1 is the darkest tone, Tone 1 of 5, making it particularly suitable for shadows and dark base layers. The burgundy shade works well for armour, fabrics and details where you want to create depth and contrast.

Warhammer Tone Pro consists of 30 colour families with five tones in each, from Tone 1 as the darkest to Tone 5 as the lightest. The paints are designed for basecoating, layering, highlighting, glazing and drybrushing. The paint can also be mixed with Shading Medium to create a shade or glaze and with Blending Medium to extend drying time for blending. The paint comes in a 12ml pot.
