TN: Megaboss Yellow 3

Games Workshop 20-203 Megaboss Yellow 3, Warhammer Tone Pro

Megaboss Yellow 3 is an acrylic paint from Games Workshop’s Warhammer Tone Pro range, designed for painting Warhammer miniatures. It belongs to the yellow Megaboss Yellow colour family, where five coordinated tones make it easy to build colour depth and create smooth transitions from shadows to highlights. This yellow shade is particularly suitable for yellow armour, vehicles, hazard markings, and decorative details.

This is Tone 3 of 5, a midtone ideal for basecoating and creating smooth transitions between darker shadows and lighter areas. Games Workshop’s painting examples show Megaboss Yellow 3 used as a base colour, followed by Tones 4 and 5 for highlights. Combine it with Megaboss Yellow 1 and 2 for shadows, then use Megaboss Yellow 4 and 5 to build progressively brighter details.

Warhammer Tone Pro includes 30 colour families, each with five tones ranging from Tone 1, the darkest, to Tone 5, the lightest. The paints can be used for basecoating, layering, highlighting, glazing, and drybrushing. Mix with Shading Medium to create shade paints or glazes, or use Blending Medium to extend drying time and achieve smoother colour transitions. Supplied in a 12 ml pot.
