Ultramar Blue 4 is an acrylic paint from Games Workshop’s Warhammer Tone Pro range, designed for painting Warhammer miniatures. It belongs to the Ultramar Blue colour family, where five different tones are designed to work together, making it easier to progress from shadows to highlights. Its classic, rich royal blue hue is ideal for creating a coordinated and vibrant blue colour scheme.

Ultramar Blue 4 is the lighter transition shade, Tone 4 of 5, making it ideal for building up lighter areas and applying the first distinct highlights. Its royal blue hue is particularly suitable for Space Marine armour, cloaks and heraldry where you want to emphasise raised surfaces and create smooth transitions towards the brightest areas.

Warhammer Tone Pro consists of 30 colour families, each containing five tones, from Tone 1, the darkest, to Tone 5, the lightest. The paints can be used for basecoating, layering, highlighting, glazing and drybrushing. Mixing the paint with Shading Medium allows you to create a shade or glaze, while Blending Medium extends drying time for smoother colour transitions. The paint comes in a 12 ml pot.
