Academy 12327 – Focke-Wulf Ta 183 “Huckebein” in 1/48 scale is a highly detailed plastic model kit representing the German experimental jet fighter Ta 183, developed during the final stages of World War II. Although it never entered operational service, it became an important precursor to post-war jet aircraft design.

The kit includes detailed cockpit, air intakes, landing gear, armament, and authentic decals, making it ideal both as a standalone display model and for “what-if” or late-war dioramas.

The finished model measures approximately 20.0 cm in length with a wingspan of about 22.0 cm, providing an accurate and futuristic 1/48 scale representation.

The model comes unpainted and unassembled, offering full creative freedom to create both historically inspired and alternative color schemes. Vallejo Model Color is recommended — for example, 70.824 German Camouflage Ochre, 70.825 German Camouflage Medium Brown, and 70.979 German Camouflage Dark Green, along with 70.950 Black for details and 70.863 Gunmetal Grey for metallic parts.
