Academy 12250 – Hughes 500D-TOW in 1/48 scale is a highly detailed plastic model kit representing the lightweight American Hughes 500D attack helicopter equipped with TOW anti-tank missiles. The helicopter was widely used during the Cold War and in modern conflicts for reconnaissance and anti-armor missions.

The kit includes detailed cockpit, rotor system, landing gear, TOW missiles, weapon systems, and authentic decals, making it ideal both as a standalone display model and as part of modern military dioramas.

The finished model measures approximately 13.0–14.0 cm in length, providing an accurate and compact 1/48 scale representation.

The model comes unpainted and unassembled, offering full creative freedom to recreate authentic military color schemes. Vallejo Model Color is recommended — for example, 70.893 US Dark Green or 70.894 Russian Green depending on operator, 70.992 Neutral Grey for details, 70.950 Black for rotor blades and accents, and 70.863 Gunmetal Grey for armament and metallic parts.
