The Mustang Mk.IV, RAF designation for the late-war P-51D, was one of the most capable long-range fighters of World War II. Airfix’s 1:48 scale kit captures the aircraft’s distinctive lines with modern tooling, fine surface detail, and authentic RAF markings.

For a convincing appearance, Vallejo Model Color Aluminium 70997 is ideal for the natural metal surfaces, combined with Black 70950 for the anti-glare panel and smaller details. The cockpit is best finished in Interior Green 71010, with metallic accents enhancing landing gear and structural parts.
