Build one of the most iconic American aircraft of World War II with the P-47D-25RE Thunderbolt in 1/48 scale, a powerful WWII fighter-bomber (1944) used for both bomber escort and ground attack missions. The Thunderbolt was renowned for its durability and performance, and was produced in very large numbers, making it one of the most important US fighters of the war.

This MiniArt kit is a highly detailed aircraft model with fine surface detail and accurate proportions. Designed with a medium skill level, it offers multiple build options, including open or closed panels and a choice of different wheel types. Clear parts are included for cockpit and detail elements.

The kit includes two decal options representing aircraft from the US 8th Air Force during the summer of 1944, allowing for historically accurate builds from the later stages of the war.

The finished model measures approximately 230 mm in length with a wingspan of about 260 mm, making it an eye-catching display piece or diorama centerpiece.

For an authentic finish, Vallejo Model Color paints are recommended. Camouflage can be achieved using 70.887 Brown Violet (Olive Drab) with undersides in 70.907 Pale Grey Blue. Metallic details can be painted using 70.997 Silver and 70.863 Gunmetal Grey, while cockpit and small parts can be finished with 70.950 Black. Weathering with 70.983 Flat Earth adds realistic operational wear.
