Italeri 2843 – Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX Aces from Supermarine Spitfire Mk IX in 1/48 scale is a highly detailed plastic model kit representing one of the most iconic fighter aircraft of World War II. The Spitfire Mk.IX was a crucial upgrade that allowed the RAF to effectively counter the German Focke-Wulf 190.

This “Aces” version features historically inspired markings linked to famous fighter pilots, making it especially appealing to collectors and history-focused modelers.

The kit includes detailed cockpit, landing gear, Merlin engine, armament, and authentic RAF decals, making it ideal for realistic WWII dioramas.

The finished model measures approximately 19–20 cm in length, with a wingspan of about 22–23 cm, providing a well-balanced and accurate 1/48 scale representation.

The model comes unpainted and unassembled, allowing you to recreate classic RAF camouflage schemes. Vallejo Model Color is recommended — for example, 70.891 Intermediate Green, 70.896 Extra Dark Green, and 70.907 Pale Grey Blue for camouflage, along with 70.863 Gunmetal Grey and 70.950 Black for engine and detailing.
