ICM 48801 – Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX with RAF Pilots and Ground Personnel 1/48 Scale is a highly detailed plastic model kit combining the iconic British WWII fighter with authentic pilot and ground crew figures. The Spitfire Mk.IX played a key role in RAF operations from 1942–1945 and remains a favorite among modelers.

The kit features realistic panel lines, detailed cockpit, engine, landing gear, and figures in authentic poses, ready for flight preparation and ground service. It is ideal for standalone displays or as part of larger 1/48 scale dioramas.

The finished model measures approximately 19 cm in length with a wingspan of 23 cm, while the figures are proportionally scaled (approx. 3.5–4 cm tall).

The model comes unpainted and unassembled, allowing full creative freedom to recreate authentic RAF paint schemes. Vallejo Model Color is recommended: 70.950 Black and 70.862 Black Grey for cockpit and details, 70.989 Dark Green and 70.990 Medium Green for upper camouflage, 70.984 Flat Brown for equipment, and 70.815 Basic Skin Tone for skin. Metallic parts can be painted with 70.863 Gunmetal Grey and 70.997 Silver.
