Academy 12573 USN PBY-5A “Battle of Midway 80th Anniversary” – 1:72 Model Kit

Recreate the iconic American amphibious aircraft PBY-5A Catalina that served during the Battle of Midway with this special edition 1:72 scale kit from Academy. The set includes moulded plastic parts for assembly, decals for two historically accurate markings, canopy masking sheet and painting/marking instructions. Glue and paint are required but not included. The completed model features a wingspan of approximately 440 mm and a length of about 278 mm. Recommended accessories include acrylic paints in shades such as FS 34079 “Medium Green” for the underside and FS 35237 “Insignia White” for the upper surfaces, plus a light weathering set to highlight panel lines and detail.
