Rel 01/23 Built in the late 1920s, this 50’ flatcar with fishbelly sides and Bettendorf trucks was used in general service for large loads, such as industrial equipment, construction supplies, or farm machinery. Great Northern was a Class 1 railroad founded in 1881 and eventually was merged with Northern Pacific and others to form Burlington Northern Railroad in 1970.
