Rel 02/23 This 50’ boxcar with Roller Bearing trucks, ATSF 10001, was the Santa Fe’s first ever Shock Control car. The Shock Control system involved a cushioned, floating underframe design along with movable bulkheads and other devices that helped to prevent damage from in-train shock forces.
