Std boxar 40' w double door GMO #24584

Rel 11/22 Built in the late 1940s, this 40’ double-door boxcar with Bettendorf trucks was rebuilt in the late 1960s by the Frascati Shops. It had a 3,899 cubic foot capacity and Evans DF-2 loaders. Founded in 1938 through a merger of the Gulf, Mobile & Northern and the Mobile & Ohio railroads, GM&O became a medium-sized Class I railroad with a main line between Mobile, Alabama, Kansas City, Kansas, and Chicago, Illinois.
