Std boxar 40' w double door NP # 38292

Rel 03/23 This 40-foot boxcar with Bettendorf trucks was built in the 1940’s for the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western railroad as a single door boxcar. It was leased to Northern Pacific and later rebuilt into a double-door car and renumbered into the 38168-38557 series. Northern Pacific was a Class 1 Railroad formed in 1864, and eventually acquired in 1970 by Burlington Northern Railroad through mergers, which went on to merge with Santa Fe becoming BNSF.
