Hopper car 100 ton 3-bay covered BNSF #617895

Rel 04/24 Built in the mid-1970s to the 1980s, these 100-ton coal hoppers with Barber Roller Bearing trucks belonged to SLSF and ATSF prior to being obtained by BNSF in the mid-1990s. Burlington Northern was formed through the mergers of Great Northern and Northern Pacific in 1970, and then merged with ATSF in 1995 to form BNSF. BNSF is one of the largest freight railroads in the country with over 32,000 miles of rail.
